The City of Helsinki is strongly committed to the equality and non-discrimination of its residents in all of the City’s activities. During November and December, the City will implement a municipality resident survey concerning equality and non-discrimination. The query will be mailed to homes on 20 November.

The survey is being used to map out Helsinki residents’ opinions on equality and non-discrimination and experiences of discrimination and inappropriate treatment within the City’s services. The query can also be used for suggesting concrete measures for promoting equality and non-discrimination in the services.

The responses to the survey will be used in the City’s equality and non-discrimination work, for example in the composition of the services’ new equality and non-discrimination plan for the next term of office of the City Council.

The query will be mailed on 20.11 to 3,500 randomly selected residents, and it can be answered in printed form or online. The reply mail fee has been paid in advance. The City wishes that residents will actively reply to the query – each reply is important!
